Mini Makers
Welcome to Mini Makers: Mid Century Modern—a creative educational series for ages 7-10. Our meticulously crafted series responds to the demand for design-focused children's books, covering various periods, movements, and styles. What sets us apart is our thoughtful consideration of age in content, language, and design, ensuring a unique learning experience. The book, divided into five sections, covers technique, purpose, creation, wellbeing, and ethics, featuring artist icons and visuals to aid in understanding while venturing through the book. Our mid-century modern-themed illustrations seamlessly align with the overall aesthetic, while production details showcase a distinctive approach. Volume One, centered on Mid-Century Modern, sets the stage for possible future editions exploring movements like Bauhaus and Cubism.
This publication consists of four different page sizes and is roughly 100 pages, all wire-bound together for ease and comfort when children are working on the design challenges within. Throughout the book, you will find many activities in the five sections, all aimed at engaging children while teaching design. The publication includes perforations for easy access, folding pages for larger activities and posters, cutouts for various challenges, and folders for storing any loose items along the way.
